The positive pressure in the Baker SterilSHEILD SS500 Isolator creates a unidirectional downward airflow. This airflow ensures a work area free from room contaminants. With a HEPA supply filter that is 99.88% efficient, the isolator maintains air cleanliness conditions better than ISO Class 5, ensuring a safe environment for direct compounding.

SterilSHEILD SS500 – Features

The SterilSHEILD is designed for both safety and convenience. The cabinet has two sections: the main chamber and the pass-thru area. The main chamber measures 39″W x 22″D x 26.5″H and features a slanted viewscreen with a top hinge.

This design allows easy loading and unloading of equipment. The pass-thru measures 18.5″W x 22”D x 26.5″H. It maintains a clean, positive pressure environment to transfer materials into and out of the main chamber.

Cleaning is straightforward, thanks to non-glare stainless steel interior surfaces with radius corners. These surfaces are easy to clean and sanitize through the glove ports. The exterior has a durable powder coating, making it simple to wipe down and maintain.

Testing

This Baker SterilSHEILD SS500 Isolator is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all gloveboxes to confirm that they operate properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. They visually inspect for damage such as cracks, leaks, or worn-out seals. Afterward, conduct a pressure decay test by inflating the glovebox and monitoring if the pressure holds steady.

Additionally, if you have specific testing requirements or requests, please inform us. We will gladly work with you to ensure these requirements are addressed during testing.
