IEC Model 2K – Features

The IEC Model K features a time, four swivel casters for easy maneuverability, a dynamic electrical braking system, and a timer allowing for 2-to-120-minute timed runs as well as an unlimited run time option. The Model K has a speed range up to 5,500 rpm depending on rotor selection, generating a force of 4,420 x g.

Testing

This IEC Model 2K is used and reconditioned. Our expert technicians meticulously test every centrifuge to ensure optimal performance and reliability, leaving no detail overlooked. They thoroughly balance the rotating assembly, inspect the bearings, seals, and gaskets, and confirm the proper functioning of all controls.

For refrigerated centrifuges, they verify the unit reaches and maintains the desired temperature accurately. All tolerances are carefully measured, and both the interior and exterior are fully cleaned for a polished finish. When sold with a rotor, technicians test the rotor and centrifuge combination together for seamless operation.

Rotors undergo a rigorous inspection process, including buckets, gaskets, and overspeed disks. Fixed-angle rotors are assessed for body integrity, while swinging bucket rotors are checked for proper weight distribution. Whenever possible, each rotor is run in a compatible centrifuge to confirm flawless performance, ensuring you receive equipment that meets the highest standards.
