Features
Thermo’s AUTO-LOCK rotor change system gives users the ability to quickly and easily swap out rotors. The IEC 31 is compatible with an extensive set of nine rotors, including the T41 and S41 swinging bucket models. (Sold separately – call for availability.) Users can run 16x50mL, 30x15mL, and 60×1.5mL, among other configurations and volumes, addressing virtually every protocol typical in biology, cell culture, and research laboratories.
The Thermo IEC CL31 has a brushless induction motor requires minimal maintenance under normal operating conditions. The microprocessor control panel is simple and intuitive and allows users single keystroke access to the programs they use on a daily basis.
Testing
This Thermo IEC CL31 is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly.
If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
