Thermo Savant SPD111V P2 SpeedVac Kit

The Thermo Savant SPD111V P2 SpeedVac Kit includes the SPD111V concentrator, RVT4104 refrigerated vapor trap, and Savant VLP120 vacuum pump. This system features variable drying rate, time/temperature display incorporating membrane touch pad switches, a safety coverlock, manual/auto timed run, a deep aluminium PTFE coated chamber, and a standard glass safety lid.

The Thermo SPD111V P2 configuration can be used in basic molecular biology applications. The RVT4104 is an ultralow temperature refrigerated vapor trap with a preset operating temperature of -105°C. Typical applications include drying molecules in HPLC fractions, evaporating purification solvents, drying extracts of natural products in drug assays, and lyophilization for all of the above.

Solvent and solvent combinations include acetonitrile, ethanol, methanol, water, acetonitrile and water, ethanol and water, and methanol and water.

Testing

This Thermo Savant SPD111V P2 SpeedVac Kit is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. We also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. 

All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
